Haze has a unique system to support speaking in different languages. If your player has learned a language, they can use the "<" to precede what they type and have it be translated into the currently selected language.

Additionally, any text enclosed between the following *, **, [ ], are left untranslated. If your character knows multiple languages, you can switch between them using one of two options:

• using the !lang command followed by the desired language !lang orcish, or
• using the language widget in your inventory of the language you wish to switch to.

Each player starts with one language point. Every point in INT over 14 offers another language point.

These can be used at the mirror in the OOC Character Creation area to purchase languages, with regional languages costing one point and racial ones costing more.

Some languages are also gated behind Eminence Points.
